Company Description
Sonny Fisher, owner of Sonny’s Window Tinting, learned the art of window filming during the late 1960s while working at Revere’s HySil Manufacturing operation. Not long after, HySil launched the Greater Boston Glass Tinting Company, appointing Sonny as Vice-President. From this position, Sonny became the first installer of Madico Window Films.
While working with Madico, Sonny developed and perfected window film installation techniques, the majority of which are relied upon today. Sonny was instrumental in the creation of a Madico dealer network, dedicated to teaching the finer points of effective window film installation across the country.
Eager for his next challenge, in 1976, Sonny founded Sonny’s Glass Tinting, alongside his brother, George. Since then, the business has grown and boasts a list of impressive clients and Boston landmarks, including the Federal Reserve Bank, the John Hancock Tower, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Prudential Building.
A family-oriented man, Sonny was delighted when his son, Rob, joined the family business in 1992. Rob now prices, measures, installs, and runs his own jobs — all from having learned the nuances and art of installation from his father.
To date, Sonny’s Glass Tinting remains one of Madico’s top window film installations companies.
